Because of its three distinctive layers, the Predator filter can achieve what is called "depth loading." The larger particles are trapped by the outermost layer, medium-sized impurities by the middle layer, and the smallest particles by the inner most layer. This eliminates the "surface loading" and "spot plating" which can restrict performance.
